Pearl is a pearl winter white hamster currently enjoying a single life in her tank. She came with her sister, a sapphire winter white, and was initially residing with her sister at my boyfriend's place. However they started fighting after several weeks and she was badly bitten and bullied by her sister. Fearing the worst has yet to come, my boyfriend and I decided to separate them and I brought her home to live with me.

She has very nice fur, and I believe she is of good breed, especially since her dad came in 2nd place in a hamster competition. Relatively tame but will bite if provoked. Eversince she came to live with me, she has the food bowl all to herself so she has gotten from skinny to fat in a matter of months... she looks like a round furball now..

Brownie's a syrian hamster which I adopted recently. Currently about a year old, he has a handicap : he has no back legs. Instead, two stumps are where his pair of back legs are supposed to be. The girl I adopted him from said that he was born that way. However, despite his handicap, he is just like any normal syrian hamster ; strong, inquisitive, eats and sleeps a lot, escapes from tank and disappears for a whole day...

As you can see from the picture above, there are no legs to be seen where his 2 back legs are supposed to be. He is however, the tamest hamster I've ever come across. He never bites and is good-natured. If you offer him food, he will never refuse and will gently take the food from your hand, unlike most hamsters who will simply grab and tug at the food in your hand. A very gentlemanly hammie!
